Materials Management Department, Air India has implemented Oracle based ERP system for procurement and inventory control. Air India intends to activate its E-Procurement module for Non-Aviation products and services. For participation in the e-procurement, it is necessary to obtain Class 3 (WITH ORG NAME) Digital Certificate authorized by Controller of Certifying Authorities under Government of India IT Act 2000. Digital Certificates shall be used to access the website and authenticate the Vendors. All those who are interested in doing business with AIR INDIA should obtain the digital certificates and submit the same to AIR INDIA.
The participation in e-Procurement through Air India website will be limited to Vendors who have acquired a Digital Signature Certificate as per the Indian IT Act 2000. To interact with the e-Procurement portal of Air India, Vendors will require possessing a legally valid Digital Certificate from certifying authority such as SafeScrypt.
